What I can’t see is my future book! I’ve looked everywhere and even though I know that it’s nowhere, I still want to see it.
Can you help? Is there any help for a wishful author like me? Can’t decide between memoir or fiction. Should I write first and come up with the label afterwards?
Have a great weekend all. Get out and touch the sky!
Write first, absolutely! Sometimes it can be hard to know what you're writing until you've written it--or at least part of it, anyway. (My debut novel started out as a memoir.) The best advice I have is to "begin in gladness" (a line from a Wordsworth poem and also the title of a poetry craft book by a friend), and be patient, and see what happens when the words start to come! Good luck! Let me know when it starts to take shape!
Love this, Emily! Mine is a bunch of bits of fabric that I’m still collecting and sorting but which may someday become a quilt.
It's a great metaphor - and definitely nicer than bug goo.
Oh no, I love bug goo. And alien crash sites.
Love this!
